The Namur Province has some great assets to indulge horse lovers.

Our plains and valleys arte home to woodlands and forests that lead to open fields. Many of our villages – some of them the Most Beautiful Villages of Wallonia – have superb relays and many equestrian clubs. Relays and equestrian cottages are equipped to accommodate riders and their mounts for the night or just for a meal.

You can go on a donkey ride or travel the roads of the Namur Province in a carriage. You can have fun at the horse-riding events organised buy the riding school of Gesves, visit the Bison Ranch of Orchimont where the "Amis du Cheval" (horse friends) guide rides even for beginners, or learn more about the draught horse of the Ardennes and about horse dairy.

Watch out not to trespass on forest areas during the hunting season.

For information, advice or escort:

And always remember that riding through our woods is subjected to the " Code de Randonneur wallon " (code of the Walloon walker).

Take a look at our brochures for all the tips and inspiration for your stay in the province of Namur!
